Learnix (“we”, “our”, “us”) is committed to protecting the privacy of children and their families. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use the Learnix mobile application and related services.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Information Collected During Profile Creation
To create and manage a child’s learning profile, we collect the following required information:
- Child’s full name
- Gender
- Grade / class level
- Account password
This information is used only to:
- Create and manage the child’s account
- Personalize educational content based on grade level
- Secure access to the Learnix app
1.2 Optional Location Permission (Country Selection)
Learnix may request permission to access the user’s location in order to determine the user’s country.
- If permission is granted, Learnix temporarily uses the device’s latitude and longitude to make an API request that identifies the corresponding country name
- The detected country name is displayed in the user’s profile and used to help personalize the learning experience (such as curriculum relevance, language, or regional settings)
- Granting location access is optional
- Users may deny location permission and still fully use the app
- If permission is denied, users can manually select their country
Learnix does not use precise location data for tracking, advertising, or profiling. Location coordinates are used only for country detection and are not stored or retained beyond this purpose.
2. Leaderboard & User Consent
Learnix offers a global leaderboard to encourage motivation and healthy learning habits.
Leaderboard Participation
- Participation in the leaderboard is completely optional
- Users (or parents) can enable or disable leaderboard participation from Profile Preferences
- Scores are shared only after explicit user consent is given via an in-app toggle
- Users may turn off leaderboard participation at any time
If leaderboard participation is disabled:
- The user’s score is not uploaded
- The user’s data is not displayed publicly
Only limited information (such as display name and score) is used for leaderboard ranking. No additional personal data is shared.
3. Sign in with Apple & Google
Learnix supports Sign in with Apple and Sign in with Google as login options.
- Authentication is handled entirely by Apple or Google
- Learnix does not require users to create or enter a password when using these sign-in methods
- We only receive basic account information provided by the authentication provider, in accordance with their privacy standards
4. How We Use Information
We use the collected information to:
- Provide and improve educational content
- Personalize learning experiences
- Enable optional features such as leaderboards
- Maintain account security
- Comply with legal and platform requirements
We do not use children’s data for advertising or marketing purposes.
5. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information.
Data may only be shared:
- When required to operate core app functionality
- To comply with legal obligations
- With trusted service providers who follow strict data protection standards
6. Data Security
We implement appropriate technical and organizational safeguards to protect user data from unauthorized access, misuse, or disclosure.
7. Children’s Privacy
Learnix is designed for children and prioritizes data minimization and user choice.
- We collect only the minimum data required for educational functionality
- Optional features and permissions require explicit user action
- Parents or guardians may manage preferences within the app
8. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected within the app and updated with a new revision date.
